Wednesday 20th Mayday’s MD Graham Cassie and Director Jamie Mulhall had the pleasure of meeting Norwich MP Chloe Smith at London’s very own houses of parliament. Below are a couple of pictures of how they got on.
Introducing our “Ricoh Interactive Whiteboards”
As a forward thinking company we like to keep on the very edge of new technology, therefore we have recently purchased two D5520 Ricoh Digital Whiteboards to assist with the streamlining of our business.
The whiteboards have an array of uses such as video conferencing in which offices can share the same screen and make notes live to other sites within the conference, fantastic for businesses that need to reduce costs and travel expenses getting employees to other branches just for an hours meeting. However, at Mayday we have decided to utilize the boards to our business which we share updates on our current installations and helps keep an up to date note on all our engineers in the field. With the 55″ 1080p screen we have a great visual platform for everyone to view the screen anywhere around the office and we can even email, download or print the notes we have placed on the board should we decide to make any changes. Who are Break Charity?
Break is changing young lives across East Anglia by supporting children, young people and families in four key areas: young people in care and moving on; children and young people with disabilities; families in need of support and children at risk.
The charity was started back in 1968 by Geoffrey and Judith Davison and their friend Leslie Morley to provide holidays for children and young people with disabilities which would give their parents a break too. They chose Norfolk as a great place to have a holiday.
Working in partnership with Norfolk County Council and Cambridgeshire County Council, Break runs seven family-sized children’s homes providing safety and stability for children and young people who, for whatever reason, can no longer live with their own families.
On behalf of Norfolk County Council, Break provides residential assessments for families whose children are at risk, giving families the opportunity to prove that they can keep their children safe from harm. We also provide community-based assessments on a spot purchase basis.
For children and young people with disabilities, in partnership with Norfolk and Suffolk
County Councils, Break provides short breaks, giving the family a chance to recharge their batteries and the young people the opportunity to join in with fun activities. These services are based in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Families’ House, which joined Break in 2012, has an established reputation for supporting families with a wide range of difficulties in Norwich and Norfolk, including support for families who are “parenting apart”. Families’ House also provides a Young Carers Project.
Jake Humphrey, sports presenter, has been Break’s patron for several years. He is an invaluable asset to the charity, spending as much time as he can meeting our young people and families. He is passionate about Break and we are grateful for everything he does for us.

Sunday marks the date that our very own “Mayday Mudders” put on their Lycra for another grueling mud run, this year marks the first in which the guys take on the legendary “Boss Hog” battling eight miles, in freezing cold water, bogs, mud and the regions most testing obstacles. 
This years team of “Mudders” are a special bread all of their own: “Paul Wilson“, “Shane Wiley” and “Ryan Aldred” who have informed us they are ready to give it their all, their eyes set on the finish line, a hog roast and a cold drink from the on site bar!

About the “Suffolk Whole Hog”
The Suffolk Whole Hog is organised annually, and is just one of a number of public, charity and team-building obstacle races we run each year.
2017 is our 11th year of running the Suffolk Whole Hog, and will be our biggest race yet!
The races are tough, fun, wet and wild!
The two routes take place in a beautiful location. The Suffolk Whole Hog race is 5 miles long and the more challenging Boss Hog is 8 miles long. For both races we guarantee lots of obstacles, lots of mud and lots of water …
